Hydracell torches don’t run on your standard alkaline batteries, instead they are powered by a Hydracall water activated battery fuel cell. Simply dip the fuel cell in water for a few seconds to activate the battery then re-insert in the torch and you’re ready to go. The battery will last up to 75+ hours with periodic re-activation in water and once it has been completely depleted simply buy a replacement cell. The Hydracell battery fuel cells are biodegradable and recyclable, an excellent choice for a more sustainable lighting option. The Aqua Tac has a 200 lumen output and a beam distance of 150m.
